WOW !!! I am amazed ! When I first told my brother Andrew that I was entering IronMan, he got really enthusiastic about me doing it and told me "when you've done an IronMan, you can do anything!" Andrew was the first IronMan that I told of my goal.
Since then I have seen face, after face, after face, absolutely light up when I mention my IronMan entry to someone who has already completed an IronMan.....everybody, without exception, says that it was the best thing they have ever done!
I heard this from Avron today "your life changes after IronMan".
I think I now need to move to the next step and ask these people 'why, was it so great?.......' ....answers to follow......

- I have always been a lover of cycling and triathlon, but I am not a 'gifted' athlete by any means. Many things excited me about entering IronMan, but my final commitment to the goal came after I read how someone described it as "the most amazing journey of personal growth". This blog is not about times, speeds and / or heart rates but about 'life lessons' that we often forget and when we do, life is more challenging. Focusing on a challenging goal like IronMan, reminds me of these simple, but often forgotten life skills, and has definitely refocused me and helped me to grow again. I am actually a private person, so sharing my thoughts, emotions and fears on this blog is another 'growth point' for me. I hope you find something of value in it for yourself.
